Projects and other experiences

Projects carried out in parallel with classes and work

Alongside classes and work, I often lead various more or less time-consuming projects. Check them out below.

MLT Student association (Treasurer)

April 2022 - May 2023

During my second year of Bachelor, I was elected with four other students at the MLT Student association. Occupying the position of treasurer, I was able to discover the management of a fairly large budget of an organization (unlike the management of a personal budget).

We took over the association after almost two years of inactivity (due to the Covid-19 pandemic). It was therefore necessary to find out what the former members of the association had done in order to create new sustainable processes that we could pass on to our successors.

As treasurer, I was able to design an account monitoring table and create and monitor various accounting documents (payment receipts, invoices, various proofs of reimbursement) while establishing and updating the forecast for a operating budget of nearly €15,000. I also drafted and co-signed various contracts with certain partners.

We also organized several events during the year: raffle, foosball acquisition and tournament, theme evenings (ice rink, bowling, etc.)

Climate Fresk Animator

Since October 2021

A few weeks after the start of my training at the IUT, I was able to be trained in the Climate Fresk, an educational tool which makes it possible to raise awareness among the general public about climate change and the place of Man in relation to these changes.

I then made the decision to follow training so that I could become a facilitator myself in order to actively participate in this project.

This tool was subsequently useful to me in business, where CSR initiatives closely linked to climate change are undertaken on a daily basis.

So today I can lead a Climate Fresk workshop independently and thus bring this beautiful collective project to life.

Robocup Junior 2019 (Project Manager)

May 2018 - July 2019

This is probably the most important project that I have been able to carry out outside of class and work.

For a year, in high school, with three other friends, we formed the TryOn team and we led the crazy project of participating in the national final of the Robocup Junior in June 2019 (internationally renowned robotics competition).

This transversal project, which combines project management, algorithms and computer coding, creation and technical assembly, took a year to see the light of day. We had to design a robot with certain technical characteristics capable of overcoming obstacles and following a route indicated by a black line on the ground in total autonomy.

After optimizing our robot, communicating about our project (on social networks, a website and even in newspapers), we won first place in the regional competition (New Aquitaine). Barely a few weeks later we got third place in the national ranking.

We then learned excellent news: our team was selected to represent France for the international edition of the competition which took place in July 2019 in Sydney!

In three months, we approached as many sponsors as possible, as many organizations and associations as possible in order to finance this trip which seemed unattainable to us. Finally, three months later and with a budget of €10,000 in ours pocket, at only 17 years old, we  were on the plane, heading for the other end of the world.

This fabulous adventure resulted in an 8th place in the world (out of more than 32 participating nations), a 3rd place as a team (in collaboration with the Chinese team) as well as the title of the best team spirit.

Military Initiation Period (Air and Space Force)

February 2020

At the start of 2020, I wanted to join the Air Force reserve. Even though the pandemic stopped this project, I was still able to participate in the first week of training to become a reservist: the PMI.

I thus acquired additional knowledge about this institution and the basics of behavior to adopt in the barracks.
